All the winners of the III edition of Musicomics
During the XXXIII edition of Romics, scheduled from 3 to 6 October 2024 in Fiera Roma, was held the third edition of MUSICOMICS - Romics Music for Images Award, the competition dedicated to artists and artists working in the field of film scores, tv e videogames che vanta il patrocinio dei due principali collecting per la gestione dei diritti degli autori e artisti: Nuovo IMAIE - Nuovo Istituto Mutualistico Artisti Interpreti Esecutori and SIAE - Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori.
In its constant commitment to promote the exceptional Italian music production, the second edition of MUSICOMICS - Romics Music for Images Award, has awarded special awards dedicated to artists and artists working in the field of "music for images" with a specific focus on music for animation, video games, cinema and genre television serials.
The Luigi Albertelli Career Prize was awarded to Maestro Franco Micalizzi.
Conductor, one of the most important composers of soundtracks, has worked intensively in genre cinema of the 70s and 80s, helping to innovate music for detective movies, action films and westerns. Among his most famous works are the iconic soundtrack of Lo chiamavano Trinità... from 1970 and also used by Quentin Tarantino in the film Django Unchained but also the soundtracks of many films played by Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (Born with the shirt or There’s no two without four) and by Thomas Miliam (The Gobbledygook or Crime on the Highway). Micalizzi has also composed numerous famous animation songs, from Lupin III (the accordion) to Gordian or Trider G7.
The Andrea Lo Vecchio Prize is awarded to Maestro Lucio Macchiarella.
Singer-songwriter and lyricist, he is known for some of the most famous and classic cartoon songs. Son of art, he started writing songs at the age of 11. Active since the 70’s, he has collaborated with Rocking Horse and Superobots and has written iconic songs like Ken the warrior, Forza Sugar!, Il Dr. Slump and Arale, Mimi and the volleyball girls, Sampei, Conan the boy of the future, Candy Candy and many others. In addition to the sigles, worked also for Scialpi, Edoardo Vianello, Ilona Staller, Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble, Nova Schola Cantorum (participating in the 1986 Sanremo Festival with the song Azzurra Anima). His ability to create texts suitable for the public of young people has made it a reference point in the sector, making it today an essential reference point.
The Special Prize for Foreign Productions, in collaboration with the Compositori Musica per Film (ACMF) is awarded to Giorgio Moroder, composer, music producer and pioneer of electronic music, winner of three Oscar awards for his scores and recently awarded the David di Donatello to the career. Moroder has worked on soundtracks of titles such as Midnight Break, Flashdance, Scarface or Top Gun while in the field of fantastic cinema, a title above all: Neverending Story! For the occasion, Maestro Moroder sent a video greeting to fans.
To enhance excellence in the integration and use of music within films, TV series, or other audiovisual content, In collaboration with the department Film & TV of Sony Music Publishing (Italy), The Best Synchronization Award for audiovisual projects was awarded to La rappresentante di Lista per Questo Corpo for the film Gloria! of Margherita Vicario.
Thanks to the hard work of the Selection Jury, composed by Luca Bussoletti, Piero Di Blasio, Angela Forin, Licia Missori, Gianluca Oddo, Pellegrino Talamo, Tecla Zorzi, Dario De Rosa and Marco Noia and the Jury of the Award composed by Mariella Nava, Douglas Meakin, Claudio Simonetti and Carlo Massarini who has as Honorary President the Maestro Vince Tempera, composer, conductor, keyboard player and arranger, were decreed the winners of the five categories in competition, Kristian Sensini with My love affair with marriage won the Best Score; Andrea Camattari, Dario Dimitri, Riccardo Accattatis, Chloe Edgecombe for the song Children of Silentown Best Soundtrack for a video game; Best Song for Not Chocolate - Wonka CDC Sefit Group); Hazbin Hotel (Pumais Due) was awarded the Best Dubbing Award; the artists Stefano Onofri and Francesca Fiore won the award for Best CineTV Performer with the song Se non fossi me - Under the Boardwalk.
Nuovo IMAIE awarded the Premio Nuovo IMAIE for Best Musical Performance for the audiovisual to Alex Polidori for 'Wonka which thanked and greeted the audience with a video message. SIAE - Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori - has awarded to Lorenzo Danesin, for Invelle the SIAE Award for Best Soundtrack for an Italian Animated Film.
Musicomics - Romics Music Award for Images is realized with the Creative Direction of Mirko Fabbreschi, composer, musician, voice actor and singer, television author, teacher and writer, also known to the public for being author and interpreter of soundtracks and tv songs.
