Corpi a regola d'arte (Bodies to rule of art)
An extraordinary exhibition in collaboration with the Scuola Romana del Fumetto and the Comitato Italiano Paralimpico. This year, Romics 32 is tinged with emotions and celebrates art, sport and inclusion, paying tribute to the fifty years since the discovery of the Riace Bronzes.
The exhibition aims to spread a different perception of disability through art and sport, while promoting a concept of beauty that enhances the uniqueness of each body. The students of the second year of the academic course of Drawing and Comics Technique of the Roman School of Comics worked under the guidance of expert teachers, such as Riccardo Colosimo and Mauro De Luca. Through acrylic painting, they created over forty portraits of Paralympic athletes, transforming them into works of art that emulate the aesthetics of the famous Riace Bronzes.
The works were made with refined techniques, which include the creation of backgrounds and three-dimensional shading, the use of contrasting colors to recreate the effect of oxidized bronze and the application of expressive brushstrokes to give depth and realism to the figures portrayed.
Corps a Regola d'Arte" represents a unique opportunity to celebrate inclusion, art and sport in an extraordinary context like Romics. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience, combining past and present, art and sport, to spread a message of beauty and diversity.
Do not miss the opportunity to visit this exceptional exhibition and be inspired by the extraordinary works of the students of the Roman School of Comics.
