
Luca Forlizzi
Born in Chieti in 1971, he is a professor of computer science at the University of L'Aquila and carries out research activities in areas ranging from space-time databases to algorithms and computational complexity theory to computer science teaching. In his teaching, aimed mainly at students of computer science, engineering and mathematics, he aims to combine academic rigor and passion, inspired by those subcultures that touch more closely on his being otaku, as the demo-scene, gaming culture and algorithmic problem solving competitions. He is also very involved in the dissemination of information technology in schools, collaborating on national projects such as the Future Program, the Problem Solving Olympics and the Italian Computer Games.
