Romics in Exhibition - Declan Shalvey. Spatial Storyteller

On display a selection of plates from two extraordinary series of Declan Shalvey, made with Image Comics, published in Italy by saldapress. The graphic style of Shalvey, the leading artist of the American comics market, is characterized by a great awareness of the story, which emerges in the tables with great strength and skill. Action, space-time paradoxes, oddities and combat, all take on extraordinary visual evidence. The exhibition opens with eleven panels from the series Injection, the innovative and surprising series created with Warren Ellis, including horror, science fiction, techno-thriller and ghost story, in a dystopian, bizarre and bordering world of destruction. Following twenty tables taken from Old Dog, the spy-story series, in which Declan appears for the first time as a sole author. In Old Dog we follow the story of a CIA agent on his last assignment, which will inevitably fail. He will find himself in a very changed future despite himself and facing new and old problems.
