Romics on Exhibition- Roberto Diso. From Mister No to Tex
Roberto Diso in his long and extraordinary career has given life and face to several characters of the Bonelli universe. Readers regard as unique and unforgettable his association with the character of Mister No created by Sergio Bonelli, who used the pseudonym Guido Nolitta to sign his screenplays. Mister No has been traveling through Diso’s pencil for over thirty years. In front of a huge number of stories to choose from, Diso has made available for this exhibition over eighty original plates directly from his immense archive, all strictly hand-drawn. To tell this unique journey, some stories have been chosen especially because in each table they highlight the great mastery of the author. A selection of eleven stories taken from Mister No, some plates taken from three stories by Tex, up to Mohican, of the series Romanzi a fumetti Bonelli, written by Paolo Morales. In addition, a look at the productions made by Diso for some historical comics magazines, where we find the tables of Sesto Girone, published on L'Eternauta in June 1990, and some tables of Rodo il Cavaliere published on Jungle! The exhibition is completed by a selection of unpublished watercolors, inks, pencils and studies of Tex jealously preserved by the author.
