Valerio Schiti: an Italian signature of the international comic scene
Valerio Schiti, one of the most internationally acclaimed Italian cartoonists and a well-known face in the Marvel Comics world, will be a guest at the 35th edition of Romics.
Currently working on the relaunch of Captain America, after having illustrated series such as G.O.D.S., Avengers, Tony Stark: Iron Man, Mighty Thor, New Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel 2 in One, Mighty Avengers, Avengers A.I. and Journey into Mystery.
Graduated in architecture and graduated from the International School of Comics in Rome, he made his debut in the American market in 2010 with a story published on Angel #37 for IDW, followed by work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles micro-series: Donatello and Battle Beasts.
In 2012 he started collaborating with Marvel, after meeting C.B. Cebulski, who invited him to join the publishing house impressed by his visual storytelling. Since then she has signed an exclusive contract and worked on several major series.
In 2014 he was selected among the All-New Young Guns, a group that gathers the young talents of Marvel. Among the most recent projects he has designed three major editorial events: Empyre (awarded with the GLAAD Award 2021), X-Men: Inferno and A.X.E.: Judgment Day, as well as the G.O.D.S. miniseries that revisits Marvel mythology with a new approach.
