After studying at the International School of Comics in Rome and working as an assistant to David Messina, Casagrande made her debut on the U.S. market in 2006 with IDW Publishing, working on acclaimed franchises such as Star Trek, Doctor Who, Angel, and The X-Files, and embarking on a career that would lead her to collaborate with major international publishers.

Throughout her career, she has worked on prominent characters and series for Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, and Titan Comics, including Red Hulk, Batgirl, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Vigilante: Southland, and Suicide Risk. Her breakthrough came with Black Widow, the Marvel series written by Kelly Thompson and colored by Jordie Bellaire, which won the 2021 Eisner Award for Best New Series. In 2023, she was also selected for the Marvel Stormbreakers class, the program dedicated to the House of Ideas’ most promising artistic talents.
