Eva Villa holds a diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. An illustrator, she teaches watercolour in her studio and, whenever possible, outdoors in Rome, throughout Italy and around the world. She is a member of the Sketchcrawl Roma group, where she practises drawing and watercolour painting en plein air, always seeking to capture the interplay between light and shadow through colour and transparency. This year, she presented her solo watercolour exhibition, *ACQUA e LUCE*, at the Casale dei Cedrati. With Pandion Edizioni, she illustrated the book *Biodiversità a Roma* in watercolour, which won the Green Book Award for Best Illustrated Book 2023, and in 2022, *Piccolo Puntino Viola*, an illustrated book on the theme of premature birth. From 2017 to 2025, she taught digital colouring at the Officine Bertani School of Illustration; she has worked as a colourist on set designs and comics, and as a colour supervisor in numerous Italian animation studios from 1996 to 2016. A passionate fan of Japanese animation and comics since the 1970s and a lover of Eastern culture, she has taught on the Manga course at the Roman School of Comics and on the animation course at the International School of Comics in Rome.
