A cartoonist and illustrator from Salento born in 1991, he currently lives and works in Rome. He tells stories through drawings and words from which he has memory.
After years of training (he graduated first from the International School of Comics in Pescara and then from the Roman School of Comics) and apprenticeship in regional publications and anthologies, in 2021 he exhibited his first solo painting exhibition, “I colori del fumetto secondo Federico Mele”, at the CartGallery in Rome and in 2022 he published his first comic book as a sole author, The Fall of Macbeth, with Fanucci Editore.
Shortly thereafter, he began a collaboration as an interior and cover artist with McFarlane Prod/Image Comics for the American market on titles such as Spawn and Knights vs Samurai.
In Italy he has published, among other publishing companies, with Bugs Comics, Beccogiallo, Planeta De Agostini, Leviathan Labs.
He currently teaches color, painting, inking, and storytelling at  Scuola Romana dei Fumetti.
