The fourth edition of the Award dedicated to Music in Images, sponsored by SIAE e NUOVO IMAIE
On the occasion of the 35th edition of Romics, scheduled from 2 to 5 October 2025 at Fiera Roma, he returns MUSICOMICS – Premio Romics Musica per Immagini, now in its fourth edition: the competition is dedicated to artists working in the field of soundtracks for cinema, TV and video games.
After the success of previous editions, Romics continues its exciting journey dedicated to music and its connections with animation, comics and multimedia. As part of its constant commitment to valorising the extraordinary Italian musical production, Romics renews the appointment with MUSICOMICS – Premio Romics Musica per Immagini.

Composer, arranger, pianist and conductor, among the most versatile and refined figures of Italian music. He has signed famous television theme songs such as Jet Robot, Ken Falco, Grand Prix the champion, Peline Story, George of the jungle or the famous Love Boat - scent of the sea and composed soundtracks for TV, theater and cinema, including The Tales of Father Brown and A Puppet Called Pinocchio. He has collaborated with artists of the caliber of Gigi Proietti, Garinei and Giovannini, Renato Rascel and Mia Martini. It was for a long time Direttore dell'Orchestra Ritmico - Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and director of jazz bands, among the pioneers of traditional jazz in Italy since Milan in the 1950s. He is co-founder of the famous cabaret-musical group I Gufi for which he wrote the music and arrangements. He has composed soundtracks for cinema and theatre, including Ti amo Maria, and starred in Fellini's Amarcord. He created many television programs as an author and host, taking care of the music as well as writing TV theme songs including the unforgettable Portobello. He is a tireless musical popularizer: he organizes festivals, holds university seminars and stages his Jazz Show in the main Italian theaters and festivals.
Premio Speciale alle Produzioni Straniere, established in collaboration with the Association of Film Music Composers (ACMF), it will be awarded to Dario Marianelli, one of the most established Italian composers on the international scene. The recognition intends to enhance the dialogue between Italian and international music for images, promoting the meeting between different languages, styles and musical cultures. An Oscar and Golden Globe winner for Atonement, Marianelli received two other Academy Awards nominations for Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina. Graduated in piano in Italy and in composition in London, he has signed over fifty soundtracks, as well as scores for theatre, dance and concerts.
In collaboration with the Film & TV department of Sony Music Publishing (Italy), the Premio Miglior Sincronizzazione per progetti audiovisivi, with the aim of enhancing excellence in the integration and use of music within films, TV series or other audiovisual content.
The award, with a specific focus on music for animation, videogames, cinema and genre television series, boasts the patronage of SIAE - Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori, the sixth collecting in the world for copyright collection author, and again IMAIE, Nuovo Istituto Mutualistico Artisti Interpreti Performatori, the Italian collecting that deals with the management and distribution of the related rights of Performing Artists. SIAE - Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori will confer the Premio SIAE alla Miglior Colonna Sonora per un film d’Animazione Italiano.
The juries, made up of professionals, experts and operators in the sector, will have the task of deciding the winning works of the competition; among the members, important names on the musical scene: Melody Castellari, singer and author, voice of Zombie (ADAM) and Inside to Outside (Lady Violet), active as a child with Le Mele Verdi and today also vocal coach and performer; Fabio Frizzi, composer and conductor, author of the famous soundtracks of Fantozzi, Horse Fever and Seven Notes in Black, also known for his collaboration with Lucio Fulci in Italian horror cults and for his style that blends rock, electronics and orchestral music; Franco Micalizzi, composer and conductor, author of iconic soundtracks such as They Called Him Trinity, Rome at Armed Hand and The Last Snow of Spring; Riccardo Zara, Italian singer-songwriter and composer, known as the voice and mind of the group I Cavalieri del Re, author of iconic theme songs such as Lady Oscar and Tiger Man and author for artists such as Dik Dik.
Presidente Onorario di Giuria is the master Vince Tempera, composer, conductor, keyboardist and arranger while the Creative Direction is by Mirko Fabbreschi, composer, musician, voice actor and singer, television author, teacher and writer, also known to the public for being the author and performer of soundtracks and TV theme songs.

Conducting the Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday 4 October 2025 at the Pavilion. 8 - Sala Grandi Eventi e Proiezioni, will be Andrea Agresti, actor, comedian, singer-songwriter and historic correspondent for Le Iene, who returns to the stage after the success of the last edition.
