GianLorenzo Franzì
GianLorenzo Franzì, a member of SNGCI, SNCCI, and FIPRESCI, is a juror at the Nastri d'Argento and a critic for RaiCultura, a guest on RaiUno's Cinematografo.
He has collaborated with Ciak, Nocturno, Film Tv, Weird Movies, Rivista Del Cinematografo, Il Quotidiano Del Sud, Cinema E Teatro Contemporaneo; for the web magazines CINECRITICA, CINEMATOGRAPHE, IL BEL CINEMA, MADMASS; he was editor-in-chief of TV series for TAXIDRIVERS.IT, and has published two novels (Così in terra, Rome, ed. Arduino Sacco; We Are the Dead, Rome, ed. Augh) and three essays, Carlo Verdone (Terra del Sole Edizioni, Reggio Calabria, presented at the Lecce International Festival), Nocturnal Voices: Story of a Forgotten Masterpiece (presented with Pupi Avati) and Mockumentary between Reality and Fiction (Weird Books, Rome). He created and directs the LIFF - Lamezia International Film Fest, an international film event; Nuvole in Festa, a comics event; FareCritica, the first festival entirely dedicated to criticism; and is the artistic director of the RCFF - Reggio Calabria Film Festival.
He currently teaches film and journalism in schools, and writes for Cinecritica, Lo Spazio Bianco, and La Scimmia Pensa.
