Hidetoshi Omori

Golden Romics of the XXXIII edition

Born on 5 November 1959 in Minamikawachi, Osaka.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo and started working as a freelance animator.
After joining Studio An-Apuru, where he mainly worked on key animations, he moved to Studio Beboo, led by TomonoriKogawa.
Since then, he has worked mainly on robotic series produced by Sunrise, from "Gundam Z" to "Gundam: The Witch from Mercury"
He has demonstrated his mecha-drawing skills in "Heavy Metal L-Gaim" and "Mobile SuitGundam: Char of the Counterattack", often cited as one of his most famous works.
Also worthy of note are his great contributions in the "Lupin III" franchise. In fact, the master Ohmori, has worked as key animator on some films and specials, but also on various parts of the TV series.
The master is responsible for the characterization of the characters from the OAV series of "Guyver", a great icon of the 90s.
Also in the same years he worked in the video game industry as director of animations of "Final Fantasy VII", known world-famous video game produced by Square.
Later he returned to the animation industry, directing for the first time the TV series "DAN DOH!". Among the anime directed by him there is also the episode entitled "Deprive", part of the famous feature film "Robot Carnival", film divided into self-concluding episodes that even features KatsuhiroOtomo, the creator of Akira.
On January 30, 2021 he opened the YouTube channel "Animator HidetoshiOmori’s RAKUGAKI" making his debut as a YouTuber.
