Ilaria Grossi

Ilaria Grossi was born in Frascati on August 31, 1992. From childhood, she began to cultivate a passion for comics and cartoons thanks to the local TV station Super 3 and the comic book store Nuvoloso in Albano Laziale. She began reading manga by stealing her brother's Dragon Ball volumes and never strayed from this passion. This was accompanied by another great interest in animals and frogs, which became her spirit animal. After graduating from classical high school, she earned a degree in Evolutionary Biology, Ecology, and Applied Anthropology from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, working on her thesis on endemic Italian amphibians in a zoology laboratory. After completing her university career, she moved first to L'Aquila, then to England to work in a laboratory specializing in next-generation sequencing. Returning to Italy, she moved to Cernusco sul Naviglio, then back to her hometown, following her work and currently providing technical support to customers on genomics equipment and protocols. She published her first short story in “Otaku Stories” (2024) for Idrovolante edizioni, then wrote “La mitologia in One Piece” (2025) and edited the collection “Le donne di One Piece” (2025).
