Ivo Milazzo
Golden Romics of the XI edition
Milazzo seems to show respect of the paper on which he is drawing, without cutting through it, even trying not to dirty it. It is for this reason that he only uses watercolor for his illustrations. Watercolor is light, delicate and transparent, can join the black marks without overlapping them. Despite all this lightness, Ivo Milazzo manages to express the strength of intense emotions, dramatic moments. A Milazzo’s cover would not even need a title! Milazzo illustrates in such a nice way adventure and drama because he starts from the awareness that lightness, harmony and peace are the best emotions. Those emotions that he knows how to describe very well.
