John McCrea has been drawing comics for over 35 years. Having become a living legend for creating “Hitman” with Garth Ennis for DC Comics, he has worked for Marvel Comics on characters such as Wolverine, Deadpool, Spider-Man and the Hulk, and for DC Comics on Batman, Catwoman, Wonder Woman and Superman. Outside of the two US majors, he has illustrated series such as “The Atheist” and “Mythic” for Image Comics, “The Boys” for Dynamite and Judge Dredd for the historic English magazine 2000 AD. He has recently illustrated “Dark Carnage” and “Viking Venom” for Marvel, several Batman covers for DC and stories and covers for 2000 AD. "Dead Eyes”, his creator-owned series with Gerry Duggan for Image Comics, was a hit. John also teaches at schools and colleges as a lead facilitator and collaborates with charities and local authorities to create comics that highlight issues such as children's rights, drug abuse, homelessness, and safe sex.
