Little Scares. Let’s Draw Our Fears Together with Simple&Madama

Monsters, little scares, and a whole lot of drawing: at the Kids Area of Romics 37, “Little Scares. Let’s Draw Our Fears Together” is coming up, a workshop for children aged 7 and over, led by Simple&Madama, Lorenza Di Sepio, and Marco Barretta.

Starting from the books in the “Da Paura!” series, children will have the chance to reflect on their own fears and try to transform them into something new through drawing. Guided by Simple&Madama, they will learn how to depict their own little and big monsters in their wonderfully charming style, ultimately earning a well-deserved certificate of courage.

The workshop will be accompanied by stories from “Da Paura!”, the Tunué series created by Simple&Madama to introduce younger readers to the great classics of horror, adventure, and fantasy. These stories are reimagined as comics in a sweet, funny style, with just the right amount of chills—without going too far. Following Dracula, Frankenstein arrives on October 2, offering a new take on the beloved classic: a story that plays with the very idea of fear, because behind the frightening appearance of a giant made of bolts and spare parts, there may be a soft-hearted soul simply looking for a friend.

A workshop designed to give a face to our fears, turn them into monsters ready to be drawn, and discover that, sometimes, they can be a little less frightening than they seem.
