Matteo Leoni was born in Albano Laziale (RM) in 1992.
After attending the International School of Comics, he participated and won the Nuvoloso Competition for emerging artists and began working for small Italian publishers such as ManFont and Edizione Segni D'Autore.
In 2020 he began working for the American indie market, first with Evoluzione Publishing, where he created the first two issues of Titanium:Blade, then from 2021 with Space Between Entertainment, working for the Destiny NY series and its related spin-off Cherry Gilbert: Necromancer, based on lyrics by Vita Ayala and Pat Shand.
In 2023 he created the tables for the third issue of Kalya - The Age of Fundamentals, published by Bugs Comics, and for Scout Comics he designed the steampunk mini-series Tales of Vulcania, based on the role-playing game of the same name. The same year he was selected by Marvel as a participant in the first edition of Marvel Art Atelier, an event for promising designers held at the Hotel New York at Disneyland Paris
He is currently working on Sven The Groundhog, a series written by Dave Franchini and published by Weird Brain Entertainment
