Ottavio Cavallo

Born in 1984, he graduated in "Archaeology and History of the Arts" at the Federico II University in Naples, where he continued his studies earning a master’s degree in the same field. In the ten years of the new millennium he gained several work experiences outside, especially in Australia where he resided permanently for 5 years. Since 2019 he has been librarian at the Istituto Sistema Biblioteche Centri Culturali of Roma Capitale and, since 2023, he has been responsible for the Elsa Morante library in Ostia. For over 30 years assiduous reader and collector of comics, manga and graphic novels, his passion for the ninth art was born, as a child, with the reading of the classics of Disney comics. At the same time he began to approach the Japanese comics thanks to the first Italian publications in the 80s and 90s. Her love for manga grew during her teenage years by reading the genres shonen and Shojo and later seinen and josei. Although the Japanese comic still remains his great passion, in adulthood he diversifies his reading by approaching the American, international, European and Italian comics.
