Rhianna Pratchett, writer and screenwriter among the most authoritative voices in contemporary storytelling between video games and comics, will be celebrated with the awarding of the Golden Romics during the 36th edition of Romics, scheduled for April 9-12, 2026 at Fiera Roma. Her work has helped define some of the most iconic titles and narrative universes of international pop culture.
In the video game industry, she has created some of the most popular narrative experiences of recent years, contributing to titles such as Heavenly Sword, Mirror's Edge, the entire Overlord series, Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, Rekae Life Below.
In the comics world, she has written stories for leading publishers such as DC, Dark Horse, Dynamite, Marvel and Kodansha, resulting in original and surprising projects, including a new origin story for Red Sonja and a memorable Lara Croft adventure set on the London Underground.
In film and series, she has collaborated with Motive Pictures, Film4, New Regency, Complete Fiction, and is co-director of Narrativia, an organization committed to promoting the narrative legacy of her father, Sir Terry Pratchett.
Rhianna Pratchett wrote the novel Crystal of Storms for the landmark Fighting Fantasy series, becoming the first woman to contribute to this celebrated franchise. She co-authored volumes such as Campaigns&Companions: The Complete Roleplaying Guide for Pets and Tiffany Aching's Guide to Being a Witch, which marks his entry into the Discworld narrative universe. Among her most recent works is the graphic novel adaptation of Wee Free Men, which will be published by Puffin in spring 2027.
She also hosted the Mythical Creatures series on BBC Radio 4 and has lent her voice to numerous Audible projects, including A Stroke of the Pen: The Lost Stories and Pseudopod, one of the leading international podcasts dedicated to horror fiction.
During the 36th edition of Romics, Rhianna Pratchett will be the protagonist of a meeting with the public dedicated to her artistic journey, offering visitors the opportunity to closely explore her work and her contribution to contemporary storytelling between video games, comics, and fiction.
