World Cosplay Summit 2026: Martina Mottola and Simone Satta Represent Italy on the Nagoya Stage!

The great international cosplay dream is about to come to life. From July 29 to August 2, 2026, the world’s spotlight will turn to the World Cosplay Summit (WCS), the most prestigious global cosplay competition, which every year brings together the finest cosplay talents from 41 countries around the world in Nagoya, Japan.

Representing Italy on the international stage will be Team Italy, made up of Martina Mottola – Lady Martina and Simone Satta – Simosath. This talented duo earned this extraordinary opportunity at the Romics Cosplay Award in October 2025, winning over both the jury and the audience with a magnificent performance inspired by One Piece, portraying the characters Kikunojo and Kurozumi Kanjuro.

Founded in 2003, the World Cosplay Summit is much more than a competition: it is a true international cultural bridge that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, stage performance, and a shared passion for manga, anime, and video games.

The final stage of the event brings together the selected teams, with each pair showcasing not only exquisitely crafted costumes, but also fully-fledged theatrical performances, where meticulous visual details merge with acting and narrative fidelity to the original works.

Martina and Simone won everyone over during the 35th edition of Romics, which has hosted the Italian selection for the WCS since 2003, with an unforgettable performance that earned them the official qualification to represent Italy as ambassadors of Italian cosplay on the world stage.
