YOU IMAGINE PINOCCHIO

On the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of Carlo Collodi's birth, Romics celebrates Pinocchio with a major transmedia journey through literature, illustration, cinema, and animation. A journey through imaginative interpretations of the world's most famous puppet, told through the work of illustrators, directors, costume designers, puppeteers, and set designers who have kept him traveling for decades “from one ocean to another”.

On display are ancient and rare illustrated editions, sketches, screenplays, storyboards, and stage costumes from Matteo Garrone's Pinocchio and Enzo D'Alò's animated film, along with illustrations and stop-motion animations by Stefano Bessoni, video materials, and thematic insights.

The exhibition is organized under the patronage of the Carlo Collodi Foundation and the National Committee for the Celebrations of the Bicentenary of the Birth of Carlo Collodi, Archimede Film, ASC – Association of Set Designers, Costume Designers and Decorators, Tancredi di Barolo Foundation – MUSLI. Museum of Schools and Children's Books, E. Rancati Srl, Tecnostyle Bellini and Tirelli Trappetti Costumi.
