
Alessio Cigliano
Born in Rome, he started his activity in 1980, linking his voice to some of the most famous cartoons of the moment, including Ken The Warrior (many characters he voiced including the protagonist Kenshiro), Maison Ikkoku - Dear sweet Kyoko and Yattaman. In 1989 he signed an exclusive contract with S.A.S. and then with BiBi.it, a company for which he also voiced Agumon, one of the Digimons in the first two anime series.
Among the actors dubbed are Heath Ledger in The Secrets of Brokeback Mountain, Zachary Quinto in the latest feature films of Star Trek, Billy Crudup in Watchmen, Erdoğan Atalay in Special Team Cobra 11, Noah Wyle in E.R. - Medici in prima linea and Falling Skies, Michael Imperioli in I Soprano and Detroit 1-8-7, Leslie Cheung in Farewell my concubine and Walton Goggins in The Shield.
He directed the dubbing of the TV series The O.C., the second, third and fourth seasons of Digimon and Zorori
In 2003 he won the award for best voice director of a cartoon for Digimon Frontier at the Romics DD Dubbing Gala.
In 2014 he founded and runs Radio Cigliano, a personal web radio born from his passion for music. Among the live, there is After dinner with..., with guests of the Italian dubbing who tell themselves and interact with the public via chat.
In 2018, invited by the German production, he participated as an extra in a special episode of Squadra Speciale Cobra 11.
He is the older brother of actor and voice actor Patrizio Cigliano and grandson of singer Fausto Cigliano.
