Dan Panosian, Gold Romics

From Batman to Spider-Man to Alice, the great American illustrator is awarded the Gold Romics

Dan Panosian, American designer and cover artist of Armenian origins, will be celebrated with the awarding of the Gold Romics during the XXXII edition of the Festival, scheduled from 4 to 7 April 2024 at Fiera Roma.
He was born in the city where superheroes were born, Cleveland, Ohio, and devoted much of his artistic career to the greatest superheroes from Captain America to Batman, from Spider-Man to Thor.

He made his debut in the world of comics for Marvel Comics and has collaborated with major American publishers, including DC Comics, Dark Horse, Boom! Studios and Dynamite Entertainment. Soon after the birth of Image Comics, he had the honor of being called to collaborate with Extreme Studios for which he designed series that sold millions of copies. His work has also appeared in video games, films, commercials and TV series.

He co-created the Drink and Draw Social Club, an event that allows fans to meet artists from around the world in the most prestigious bars and pubs. 

Among the recent works, the author has taken up again, developed and reinterpreted through the comic the adventures told by Lewis Carroll, with the series Alice, made together with Giorgio Spalletta, and with the volumes Alice Forever and Alice Never again. He has also produced, in collaboration with the Italian designer Marianna Ignazzi, An unkindness of Ravens, a graphic novel with a teen dramedy cut, and Slots, a spectacular graphic novel to tell his Las Vegas.

During the XXXII edition of Romics, Dan Panosian will be the protagonist of a special meeting that will retrace the fundamental stages of his artistic career also celebrated by an exhibition of prints of his most famous works.
