Oliver Onions, the pseudonym of brothers Guido De Angelis and Maurizio De Angelis, are among the most famous and prolific Italian authors of film and television soundtracks, as well as internationally renowned composers, arrangers and performers. Active since the ’60s, they have built an extraordinary career, characterised by a vast production and an unmistakable musical identity, capable of combining pop, rock, folk and western influences.
Over the course of their career, they have composed over 200 soundtracks (more than 120 for film and over 80 for television), released more than 400 singles and 200 albums worldwide, and sold over 50 million records, achieving numerous gold, silver, and platinum awards. Their production, which began in the ’60s, was so extensive that it led them to use various pseudonyms – including M&G Orchestra, Dilly Dilly, Kangaroo and Boomerang – until arriving at the definitive one, Oliver Onions, which became synonymous with their greatest successes.

Their name is inextricably linked to Italian popular cinema and, in particular, to their artistic partnership with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, for whom they composed music that has become iconic. Among the most famous titles: “They called him Trinity”, “…They kept calling him Trinity”, “Otherwise we'll get angry!”, “The two almost flat superfeet”, “An extraterrestrial sheriff… little extra and very terrestrial”, “Bomber”, “They called him Bulldozer “and “Banana Joe”.
In parallel, they have created some of the most beloved television theme songs of all time, including “Sandokan”, “Orzowei”, “Fury”, “Space: 1999”, “Around the World in 80 Days”, “Galaxy Express 999”, “Doraemon” and “Rocky Joe”, contributing significantly to the collective imagination of multiple generations.
Alongside their work in film and TV, they have collaborated with great names in Italian and international music, including Ennio Morricone, Lucio Dalla, Rita Pavone, Patty Pravo and many others, also scoring hits for artists such as Jane Birkin and Agnetha Fältskog (ABBA).

Their influence has crossed generations and borders, inspiring contemporary artists and directors such as Quentin Tarantino, who has cited their music in his films.
From their first album in 1963 until the album “Future Memorabilia” (2021), made with guests such as Claudio Baglioni and Tommaso Paradiso, their career represents one of the longest-running and most significant in Italian music.
In recent years they have returned to perform live throughout Europe with a show that traces over sixty years of success: from “Dune Buggy” to “Sandokan”, from “Orzowei” to “Banana Joe”, up to the theme songs of the great animation classics. On stage, accompanied by Animeniacs Corp, they bring an engaging musical experience, enriched by anecdotes and special guests, on a unique journey through cinema, television, and collective memory.
