Vaga - Valentina Galluccio
Valentina Galluccio, aka VAGA, attended art school, specializing in clothing, fashion, and design. After high school, she won a scholarship to a dance school in Florence, where she lived for two years to become a contemporary dancer, putting her passion for drawing on the back burner. In 2016, she decided to resume her studies, so she attended a three-year illustration course at the Italian School of Comics in Naples. During her studies, she became passionate about the world of 2D animation, which allowed her to explore new fields of art and broaden her horizons. Winner of the Lucca Project Contest 2022, the young author will present her debut book “Dog,” which recounts the pitfalls of a toxic relationship through the experiences and feelings of Mia, a young alternative girl.
The work was nominated for the Micheluzzi 2024 awards in the “Best Debut Work” category and the author was nominated for the Boscarato Awards as “Revelation Author of the Year.”
At Romics 2026, she presents “Fujakkà,” a story set in Naples, suspended between reality and hallucination.
